HIV Symptoms

HIV is one of the most deadly viruses that is currently known to man. As there is no cure, people who are infected are given a very low survival rate and even less time in respect to number of days to live. The issue remains that HIV symptoms are very hard to discern from other more common and less deadly diseases which means that a lot of people will die and not even realize that they are infected. For this reason it is nearly impossible to estimate the actual number of people who have HIV in the world.

HIV symptoms may not present in everyone as this is common with this type of virus. There is a period where you will not get symptoms because the virus is taking the time to attack the immune system to allow for the infections to gain entrance to your body. What many people fail to realize is the fact that HIV is not something that will make you sick. In all truth HIV symptoms are the direct result of the weakened immune system and nothing more to do with the virus following that. For this reason you can not accurately divide the symptoms of illness from the infection of HIV.

One thing that many people will ask is how to determine if someone has HIV. This is not easy and can not be done by way of looking at someone. In most cases a person with HIV will appear to be completely healthy and show no outward appearance of the infection. The only completely accurate way to determine infection is through a test. People who are drawn and thin are not necessarily infected as these things can be symptoms of other less serious diseases.

For those who are going through the stages of HIV symptoms they will notice many things. Sometimes the HIV symptoms will present in a very strong manner and other times there will be nothing at all.

Some of the more common HIV symptoms can include:

* Fatigue

* Body Ache

* Chills

* Flu like symptoms that will last about a week.

There is no way to know if a person will present with HIV symptoms. HIV testing is the only tried and true method to determine HIV infection.
